(1) This is my "go to" for early mornings, late evenings or dark, cloudy days when sunlight is minimal. Purple stands out like a sore thumb! These wings are a great trigger feature.
(2) Great pattern for hard fished waters were the fish have "seen it all."
(3) Fish in conjunction with pupa or another emerger.
(4) Hend's Krystal Flash (purple) has replaced several different winging materials. This is the deepest, most vibrant purple you will ever see in a fly tying material!

Hook: TMC 2488 or any curved scud style hook. Sizes 16 to 22.
Bead: 18/0 glass. Pearl
Body: 14/0 Veevus, Black
Ribbing: Hends .09mm, Silver
Wing: Hend's Ice Effect , UV Purple (#114)
Thorax: Muskrat dyed black. Loosely dubbed and picked out.
