Black Beauty Buzzer

Notes:

(1)  I tried to do a little research on this pattern, but soon discovered several patterns named the same and hundreds of variations.
(2)  This particular pattern has undergone a few changes since I began tying/fishing it in the 1990's.  I now tie it in dark pewter or black Sulky Holoshimmer and then coat the body with a very light application of UV resign before finishing the rest of the fly.  The original recipe can be found in Modern Midges, Tying & Fishing The World's Most Effective Patterns (2009)
(3)  Switching the black thread for red has proven effective.

Materials:

Hook:  Daiich 1260 or any curve scud style hook. (Daiichi 1260 size 18 pictured)
Thread:  Veevus 14/0, Black
Body:  Sulky Holoshimmer, Dark Pewter (#6002) or (Arctic) Black (#6051)
Thorax:  Muskrat, Natural
Wingcase:  Fluoro Fibre, White
